Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who tied the knot in 2018, kicked off December with a rare but glamorous date night in New York City, wearing matching all-black outfits. As it turns out, the two celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary on the first of the month and nailed the twinning fashion moment. Photos from the night show Chopra in an LBD, which consisted of unique crochet detailing, with a pair of really cool boots. Meanwhile, Jonas wore a classic ensemble comprising pants, a T-shirt, and a matching jacket that he paired with similar boots. For the night, the couple also stepped away from their parenting duties to enjoy the date.

Wearing similar outfits, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas enjoyed a charming anniversary date night on December 1. Photographs of the occasion show the couple strutting on the streets of New York City wearing matching monochromatic ensembles. 

On one side, Chopra wore a mini-dress that comprised a unique crochet pattern close to the thigh, with some knots dangling far beyond her knees. She topped off the look with an oversized leather jacket to beat the city’s chill weather. In addition, the actor sported a pair of lace-up boots with a baggy shaft to elevate the attire into an even more alluring look. She also carried a handbag that had a golden handle. On the other hand, Jonas donned a somewhat basic outfit. He paired a pair of black pants with a T-shirt, a simple-looking jacket, and the classic Dr. Martens boots.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ date night comes after a cheerful Thanksgiving 2024 with their daughter, Malti Marie, whom they welcomed in 2022 via surrogacy. The 42-year-old Bollywood icon recapped their holiday celebration in a carousel of photos with a heartfelt message on Instagram. In the caption, she expressed gratitude “for the life we’re building together” and shared snippets of the season’s treats in the post.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding weekend was full of pre-wedding ceremonies that looked straight out of a fairytale. Ever since catching a glimpse of the festivities, we have been at the edge of our seats waiting for the official wedding photos to be released and to get a glimpse of their wedding outfits — and they’re finally here.

The couple had two official wedding ceremonies: one Christian and one Hindu. For the Hindu celebration, which took place at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, Chopra wore a traditional lehenga, which is a two-piece ensemble comprised of a dupatta, choli (midriff top) and a long skirt. She looked absolutely stunning in the vibrant red piece, which took 3,720 hours and 110 embroiderers to create. Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee revealed on Instagram that the lehenga features “hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon later of threadwork embroidery.”

For the groom, Mukheriee says Jonas wore “a hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa.”

Chopra also shared a tremendously sweet photo on Instagram from their Christian wedding. The couple wore Ralph Lauren, as they did when they were first seen together at the 2017 Met Gala. Chopra wore an elegant, strapless column dress embellished with pearlescent sequins. According to Ralph Lauren’s Instagram, a personal touch was added to the gown: “The embroidery included eight significant word and phrases selected by the bride, including ‘family’, ‘hope’ and ‘compassion.’” 

The Purple Label double-breasted tuxedo jacket worn by Jonas held a deeper meaning as well: it had the Urdu words “My Jaan” (meaning “my life”) sewn on the inside of the lapel, just over his heart.

When rumors started flying about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas dating, it was nothing but excitement and heart eyes from everyone (arguably some broken hearts for Jonas fans). After just two months, they were engaged on July 19, 2018, and were finally wed this past weekend in India.

The festivities included a traditional pre-wedding Hindu celebration called a Sangeet Ceremony. This ceremony is especially significant because it steps away from the seriousness of wedding planning and lets the couple and their families just enjoy the upcoming union with music and dancing. The dreamy event took place on the lawns of the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur with millions of fairy lights and mirror installations illuminating the beautiful celebration. Chopra wore a hand-embroidered sequin sari in gold and silver, while Jonas wore an open midnight blue sherwani (a traditional Indian frock coat) with silk thread detailing. Both outfits were designed by renowned Indian designers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Jonas and Chopra shared glimpses of the ceremony via their Instagram accounts. It looked like an absolute ball with everyone dancing and singing. In her caption, Chopra said, “And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.”

The Mehndi Ceremony is another major pre-wedding ceremony. This event calls for a professional Mehndi artist or relative to apply intricate henna designs to the bride’s hands and feet. This event takes place right before the wedding. Chopra shared intimate photos through her Instagram, including a photo of the bride happily twirling in the courtyard in a gorgeous yellow multi-panelled organdy sherwani embellished with silk detailing. Two draped organza layers completed the exuberant, luxe look. Jonas wore a pale pistachio green and aqua Banarasi cotton Bakhiya kurta embellished with threadwork embroidery in various stitches. Like their Sangeet outfits, the gorgeous looks were designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

According to Vogue, the couple wed on Saturday in a traditional Christian ceremony officiated by Jonas’s father. The Hindu ceremony took place on Sunday. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Once again, the MTV Video Music Awards was all about the performances. Rihanna opened the show and performed three subsequent times during the broadcast (hey, she’s this year’s Video Vanguard Award recipient). At the end of her quartet, Drake stepped out to present the singer with her award. Beyoncé brought Lemonade to life up on stage in a refreshing medley of tracks. Kanye West didn’t rap live, but he showcased a new explicit video for “Fade” prefaced by a rambling speech that called out Taylor Swift and Anna Wintour (to name a few). Kim Kardashian introduced Britney Spears’ performance, which was a vast improvement from the Las Vegas headliner’s 2007 travesty. Outside of the performances, in a truly surreal moment, Jimmy Fallon dressed as Ryan Lochte as he presented Video of the Year to Beyoncé for “Formation.”

When it came to fashion, it was no surprise that skin was still in. See-through pieces ruled the white carpet and black was definitely trending. There were a number of attendees who brightened up the ceremony with vibrant pops of color, outfitted in everything from cobalt blue to fiery red and even a rainbow pattern. A group of drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars gave a style shout-out to VMA looks of the past, including Lil’ Kim’s purple number and pastie, Lady Gaga’s meat dress and Britney Spears’ python stage outfit. In what we can only assume was a concerted effort to eclipse the bright lights of Las Vegas, attendees at this year’s Billboard Music Awards seemed to favor metallics. From glistening silver dresses to sequin embellishments, celebs really upped the wattage for the ceremony. Performers also lit up the stage with some electric acts, from Britney Spears opening the show looking like a Vegas showgirl as she belted out her hits to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton singing their fresh duet. Not to mention Kesha’s highly anticipated return to the limelight serenading the crowd with a Bob Dylan classic with a little help from friend Ben Folds. Madonna rocked a decadent stage look as expected, but her tribute to Prince was surprisingly restrained and everyone in the audience was pretty much brought to tears when Stevie Wonder came out to sing “Purple Rain” with the Material Girl.
