Chanel is still without a creative director, following the abrupt departure of Virginie Viard in June. Rumors remain rife within the industry that Bottega Veneta’s Matthieu Blazy is set to be announced as Viard’s replacement. Today, on December 3, the house of Chanel ventured to Hangzhou, China to present its Métiers d’art collection for Pre-Fall 2025. More than 1000 guests lined the runway (including brand ambassador Lupita Nyong’o), as models emerged from backstage and out onto the runway at nightfall. Staged adjacent to the majestic waters of the West Lake, the Chanel design studio team blended traditional Chinese garment detailing with a 70s Western flare. The Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 collection was ultimately inspired by the treasured Coromandel screens in the iconic Rue Cambon apartment of Mademoiselle Gabrielle Chanel (one even features the city of Hangzhou and its famous lake).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“CHANEL IS TRULY DEAD!” [chanelh]

“It was technically ‘better taste’ than whatever Virginia Viard was doing toward the end of her tenure. However, somehow this collection left me with the distinct feeling that the magic at Chanel has completely evaporated into thin air. Those opening looks were funerary in feeling.” [Frederic01]!”

“So boring, dull, and lifeless.” [bennyboy]

“Looking at the collection, Chanel clearly needs a creative director that will push this brand in a fresh, new direction. Most of the looks do not stand for fashion excitement.” [MModa]

“It’s a shame because I do think Chanel have a strong design team. However, they are all trying to outshine each other, rather than to conceptualize the show as one.” [tourbillions]

“Those white tiered plisse pants are the worst thing in this show. Followed by the pear-shaped jacket – it should’ve been cut. The black lace dress with the cutouts should’ve been cut too. Those two belted numbers in gold and navy could’ve gone too.” [Nimsay]

Forum Members Review the Carolina Herrera Resort 2025 Collection From Wes Gordon
IMAGES | VOGUE.COM

On Thursday, November 14 Wes Gordon staged his Carolina Herrera Resort 2025 collection in Mexico City. Gordon has been at the helm of the New York-based fashion brand (founded in 1980) since 2018. As a love letter to Mexico, the American designer and Central Saint Martins graduate presented a lineup boasting an explosion of volume and vivid color. Gordon opted to unveil his joyous collection amid the stone totems at The Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum. The collection also showcases intricate embroideries and ceramic embellishments from local Mexican female artisans (including María de los Ángeles Licona and Araceli Nibra Matadamas). The destination show also gave us our first glimpse at the Carolina Herrera x Frame collab.

Watch the Carolina Herrera Resort 2025 show:

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Exactly what you’d expect and, I think, exactly what their customer wants.” [KoV]

“Gorgeous. Every single look. The prints, the colors, the shirts, the skirts, the dresses. The makeup and the jewelry too. Been a long time since I’ve seen a collection that colorful and that joyful.” [imjustken]

“Despite this collection being safe, it feels refreshing to see real clothes that deliver what customers want. As a whole, the collection is beautiful.” [EDEN21]

“CH is one of the few brand still embracing the spirit of American fashion even though it is very old-fashioned and dated in the dominant scene of modernity. I guess it is good for the brand to cater this specific clientele who enjoy the elegance and femininity. Some of the prints and color are very beautiful.” [JohannesL]

“Another fine display from Wes Gordon as Carolina Herrera creative director. Flawless collection from start to finish. I love the volumes, the vivid colors, and the inclusion of the Mexican artisans.” [vogue28]

Giorgio Armani skipped Milan Fashion Week in September, in favor of showing his Spring 2025 collection in New York. Last night, everyone from Pamela Anderson to Brie Larson showed up for the legendary Italian designer at the historic Park Avenue Armory on the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan. Armani’s reason for venturing stateside was to commemorate his recent 90th birthday, a brand new building on Madison Avenue, and his namesake brand’s upcoming 50th anniversary. The undisputed king of Italian fashion looked back to the city during the 30s and 40s as inspiration. Armani’s latest lineup boasted swingy all-over embroidered dresses, soft tailoring, and cute pups as accessories – all in a nude, muted, and monochromatic color palette. Sig. Giorgio Armani in his element to say the very least.

Giorgio Armani Spring 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Lovely collection, lovely casting, lovely setting. It’s definitely along the lines of Armani, but this, along with his last two haute couture collections, feels much more modern than his usual formula.” [LadyJunon]

“Missed the presence of the Giorgio Armani label during Milan Fashion Week, and was very much looking forward to this. Mr. Armani, of course, did not disappoint. Another flawless collection from the absolute master of elegance, sophistication, and glamour. The color palette is sublime, the fabrics are exquisite, the whole collection is divine.” [vogue28]

“One thing about Armani models is they’ll always look Forbes 100 rich. The collection is muted and classic yet youthful at the same time. My favorite was the menswear at the end with the hint of shimmer on it. Would have loved to see Mayowa and Ayak among the cast who I feel epitomize the classic Armani woman.” [Urban Stylin]

“I’m not a fan of Armani ready-to-wear. The fabrics are fabulous and move beautifully but it is very dated. However, the bags and the colors were good. I wish he came to NYC with his Armani Privé collection. Because that’s where the spirit of Armani really shines!” [Lola701]

That’s a complete wrap on Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025, with Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant of Coperni taking the fashion pack to Disneyland Paris to “magically” round out the fashion festivities. Since September 23, a total of 66 physical runway shows and 40 presentations have taken place within the City of the Light over the past week, making the Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 season a one for the books.

Report: Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025

Mid-afternoon on Friday September 27, with a wildly star-studded cast including Gigi Hadid, Hedi Klum, Marcia Cross and Anok Yai (as the bride), Guram Gvasalia staged his latest Vetements collection, inspired by the Paris underground. Against a romantic and candle-lit backdrop of the Château de Bagatelle, Victoria Beckham presented her Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 offering of sculptural breast plates, mixed print dresses, and cut-out tailoring.

Andreas Kronthaler brought punk to Paris for his Vivienne Westwood showcase while Nadège Vanhee-Cybulsk served up chocolate leathers that looked like butter at Hermès (and not even a PETA protester could distract from superb craftsmanship). Come nightfall on Saturday September 28, it was time to bare witness to the sophomore collection of Seán McGirr as McQueen creative director. Inside Paris’ École des Beaux-Arts, the Irish designer paid homage to the Alexander McQueen Fall 1994 collection, razor-sharp tailored suiting and Celtic influences.

Come Sunday, all eyes were on Alessandro Michele as he staged his debut runway show as Valentino creative director. Models paraded Michele’s designs of sumptuous fabrics, cascading ruffles, sequins, and bow detailing around a draped set and walked on a floor of broken mirrors. Closing out the weekend, Isabel Marant confirmed that the western trend is set to regain its momentum for Spring 2025, with a collection boasting fringe jackets, studded bags, and suede pieces.

Monday commenced with an open-air show from Stella McCartney at Paris Fashion Week. Oversized bags, suits, round form plush jackets in pastel colors, and splashes of red were consistent throughout McCartney’s lineup. Gabriela Hearst ditched New York for Paris this season, showcasing her creations on the Left Bank. Eclectic knits, sheer sheaths, and crinkled gold separates took the runway, next to sophisticated tailoring and some Western influence. To a remix of Gimmie More by Britney Spears, models at Balenciaga walked out onto an elevated catwalk, inspired by a dining table. Balenciaga creative director Demna, experimented with hoodies and denim, transforming jeans into gaiters and showing oversized sweatshirts with slogans that read “Fashion Designer”.

On the final day of Paris Fashion Week, Chanel (still without a creative director) ventured back to the Grand Palais. The Chanel Fashion Creation Studio team, gave us charming 1920s-style collars and classic tweeds that honored the brand’s rich heritage, while ostrich feather trim and delicate sheer looks floated past guests towards the end of the show. The finale was topped off with a live performance from Riley Keough, who gave attendees a rendition of Prince’s When Doves Cry, sat perched on a swing inside a vast white birdcage. At Miu Miu, Miuccia Prada doubled down on the no-pants look for another season. Nicolas Ghesquière honored the rich Louis Vuitton heritage with a runway inspired by the French fashion house’s signature trunks. Ghesquière’s lineup featured open peplum shirts, flowing silk dresses, oversized shoulder pads, and patterns by artist Laurent Grasso.

“Go off and show off, Nicolas! Let the girls know you can challenge taste without it being ugly. It looked expensive, it didn’t look tortured. Bravo!” [reese06]

“I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED IT. The soundtrack, the trunks as a runway. I loved the footwear, the bags, and the accessories. Ghesquiere is hitting his stride, I am so excited. I loved this collection, and I usually feel a way about what he’s been doing but I love, love, loved all of it.” [jeremydante]

“Great and surprising collection from Nicolas! Despite the layering in the styling, the amount of flow made it so enjoyable. Seeing those fabrics floating as the girls walked was fabulous!” [Lola701]

“Oh how the mighty have fallen…” [Frederic01]

“The set alone is a perfect display of the brand without a creative director: EMPTY! At this point, just give the CD position to anyone with a name because this cannot work for another season. Will it sell? Of course, it will, but it’s not sustainable.” [Salvatore]

“They are desperately in need of new creative director.” [Olaffo]

MISS | Miu Miu

Here's Part Two of the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“My biggest fear happened: Miu Miu has become ‘The Lotta Volkova Show’. Is Miuccia even involved in the creative process anymore? It just looks like Lotta went to the archives, pulled a lot of stuff, styled the whole thing with some logo merch, and job done.” [Lola701]

“Styling is 50% of the brand now, and I just find it stupid. Just stupid.” [yslforever]

“I’m really annoyed by all the gimmicks – celebrities, styling, film. The clothes have nothing to say, honestly (and we can say the same about Miuccia).” [thiago]

HIT | McQueen

Here's Part Two of the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“1000x better than Seán McGirr’s debut.” [justpassingthrough]

“This is light years away from that heinous debut. It’s unexpectedly good. It’s not on Lee’s (or even Burton’s) level, but it’s was a good collection and a good show. He should’ve dumped the heavy platforms in favour of sleek stilettos and “floating” heels, but one thing at a time.” [LadyJunon]

“For me this show was a massive improvement from his debut, massive. We can all agree that we will never get McQueen in the dark version of yore, that’s a thing of the past. But I thought that McGirr this time got his s**t together and delivered a much more focused and commercially appealing collection.” [bc collector]

MISS | Valentino

Here's Part Two of the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“It feels very déjà-vu and I blame the excessive styling. I believe without the amount of lace gloves, piercings, and better casting, it would’ve felt less Michele and more Garavani.” [thiago]

“Michele almost fooled me with that first look. The most anticipated show of the season and the most flop one. He confirmed he is a one-trick pony and has the most one-dimensional vision ever.” [FashionPower]

“No evolution. Gucci 2.0.” [Grets]

MISS | Balenciaga

“Same shtick, different season. The sooner Balenciaga and Demna part ways the better. Absolutely cannot wait to move on from this monstrosity of a direction. This whole streetwear aesthetic for Balenciaga feels beyond tired, dated, and overplayed in 2024.” [vogue28]

“Why do we exist in a world where this vision of Balenciaga is tolerated…especially by luxury consumers?” [GERGIN]

“So pedestrian and basic. Remember when Balenciaga was synonymous with chic, fashion-forward clothes?” [tourbillions]

HIT | Yohji Yamamoto

Here's Part Two of the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025

“Truly stunning. Seriously can’t stop looking at this collection. This is how you do real punk, kids, unlike any Hedi Slimane or Marc Jacobs take on it. I feel it like a contemporary, more sculptural Vivienne Westwood.” [philophile]

“I can’t imagine the Paris fashion week without Yohji and the lovely Hôtel De Ville. Hands down one of the best collections this season!” [Kanzai]

“Truly gorgeous. The master can do no wrong even if it’s just a little expansion of his usual vocabulary. In the sea of pretentious fashion, Yohji remains true to himself. A feast to be savored!” [dancv]

“Not sure what happened here. I loved Louise Trotter’s first two collections for Carven. Everything here just looks off.” [tatouejeremie]

“I only see complacency here. Paris has been a disappointment. Nobody is trying anything new.” [Alquimista]

“I love what she’s done with Carven, but this collection feels a bit too complicated. Some of the silhouettes are too sloppy. It would have been a lot better if she showed more knitwear, some structured pieces.” [Kennnnn]

“Isabel Marant really has a POV and makes the girls look great. Why can’t Pucci or Cavalli make shapes like that? So simple and easy.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“It’s very Bouchra Jarrar, which makes me love it!! [IsabelMarantBoy]

“It’s really quite a captivating collection. Love the way some of the fabrics sit on the models, almost like armor.” [GoldenPetals]

“Love almost everything here! It’s hard for me to translate Sacai sometimes beyond the deconstructions, but this time they nailed it for me.” [Ihhbl]

HIT | Akris

“Finally a tasteful and elegant collection is such a boring and underwhelming season. I usually like Albert Kriemler’s work and he remains underrated. One of the only collections to get frills right and the orange section is quite sublime as well.” [Fiercification]

“I like this. So sleek and easy on the eyes. There’s just something that seems so pure about this.” [Cocteau Stone]

“I like this so much! A relief to see this. A nice breeze through this collection – just the right timbre with pleasant moments. It’s so light. Bravo.” [TerraVera]

MISS | Duran Lantink

“This is flat as a pancake. What’s the content? Feels like a New York brand trying its hand at being avant-garde.” [Norden]

“It was interesting for a milli-second…” [90sfan]

“I want to know who is backing this brand? All the campaigns, shows every season, that kind of casting and all that press meanwhile you have 4-5 pieces on a rack in Dover Street which doesn’t seem to sell.” [NoInvite]

MISS | Stella McCartney

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“This is so messy.” [youthinasia]

“It’s a bit all over the place indeed. I can’t see any cohesion in this collection. Oversized suits, chiffon dresses, leather dresses, t dresses, ripped pants/tops/dresses, lace, wool balloon tops, sequin, pearls. cut-ouPhew, that’s a lot to take.” [Valentine27]

“It’s like the Ann Taylor and Hervé Léger shows got mixed together.” [Irere]

MISS | Gabriela Hearst

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“She should stay in NYFW where this collection belongs.” [JohannesL]

“”As a Uruguayan designer, Gabriela Hearst would have the ideal opportunity to put the traditional fabrics of her country and Latin America on the international map, but this set of things is a mix of meaningless things that, instead of making you raise an eyebrow, invites you to close both eyes.” [IndigoHomme]

MISS | Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Sad to say… I just don’t feel Vivienne anymore.” [bennyboy]

“Where’s the ‘punk’? How can you be anti-mainstream, when you create something so easily digestible? With a brand like VW I don’t even care if it’s try-hard or edgy or obnoxious, because that’s the entire point!” [Machinegumm]

“It was cleaner, more commercial. It lacked that defiant punk energy that Vivienne did so well.
Even the runway soundtrack was odd, it wasn’t Vivienne Westwood at all.” [jeremydante]

See all the looks from the Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood Spring 2025 collection.

HIT | Hermès

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Hermès womenswear is one of a kind! Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski is doing an exceptional job! Great collection. Love the see-through knit. Stunning. Nobody does timeless luxury like them.” [imjustken]

“I really enjoyed the show! Loved the set and also the dynamic walks. I find the collection very appealing.” [Valentine27]

“This is absolutely sufficient for Hermès. It’s the quiet conservative high-quality luxury that its clientele is looking for. Hermès is the LAST fashion house that needs to be ‘fashion-forward’. The brand is already so mature and so well SET, it already has a reliable surefire formula – both commercially and creatively.” [GoldenPetals]

MISS | Vetements

“I couldn’t care less about the clothes. Pure trash.” [thiago]

MISS | Victoria Beckham

“She’s desperately trying to be someone she clearly isn’t.” [helmutnotdead]

“Why is Victoria Beckham always trying so hard to be someone she isn’t? She should do a sexier, more glamorous take on minimalism and stop with the artsy nonsense.” [avonlea002]

“She could donate the money to the poor, instead of doing poor fashion every season.” [90sfan]

HIT | Junya Watanabe

MISS | Ann Demeulemeester

“Another brand that makes no sense without its founder.” [avonlea002]

“Ann D mixed with ‘dumpster diving homeless people’. Stefano Gallici better correct course for next season, because this is NOT the direction this brand should go.” [Machinegumm]

If you thought the first portion of Paris Fashion Week was something to behold for the Spring 2025 season, the second half of the 9-day event granted us just as many fantastical fashion moments. McQueen’s Seán McGirr staged his sophomore collection as creative director, presenting razor-sharp tailored suiting and references to the Alexander McQueen Fall 1994 collection. Alessandro Michele made his long-awaited debut as Valentino creative director, staging his first runway at the helm of the luxury Italian fashion house. Sumptuous fabrics, cascading ruffles, sequins, and bow detailing were on full display, as models walked across a runway of broken glass. Chanel staged its first prêt-à-porter show without an official creative director while Nicolas Ghesquière‘s Louis Vuitton showcase paid homage to the rich heritage of the French fashion house.

See, we told you the second half of PFW would save the best moments for last. Scroll further for part two of theFashionSpot’s highlights from Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025:

Following a whole two years of preparation, Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant staged the Coperni Spring 2025 collection at Disneyland Paris – bringing Paris Fashion Week to a magical and show-stopping end. Flashes of fireworks, light shows, music, and fountains added to the magical setting, as models emerged from Sleeping Beauty’s castle. The collection was inspired by princesses and villains, with Myer and Vaillant creating a Maleficent-inspired voluminous ball gown for none other than Kylie Jenner to close out the show.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Their shows have been so hyped and are always so… whelming? IDK.” [thenewclassic]

“How do you say ‘Stunt Queens’ in French?” [Jacque Marcel]

“So Kylie Jenner was obviously just there to make the show go viral…” [nationalsalt]

“Disneyland or not … if I had to wait until 23h00, which is past my bedtime, just to see this show and collection, I’d be hot and upset! The setting swallowed the collection.” [Salvatore]

“Trying hard. What is the point of doing a show in Disneyland Paris if the end runway photos are this? Just that alone you know how shallow they are and how limited their direction is.” [tourbillions]

“I would be pissed if I had to go out of my way to the suburbs after hours for a show look like this? It’s not even a mess. Literally nothing. No style, no substance, no direction.” [TaylorBinque]

“The only thing people will remember is the location.” [Valentine27]

“It’s never about the clothes with them. Never! A very expensive and loud non-event.” [Lola701]

This afternoon in Paris, Nicolas Ghesquière of Louis Vuitton closed out the official Paris Fashion Week schedule in spectacular style. The French-Belgian fashion designer who signed on the dotted line as creative director in 2013 and renewed his contract last year, presented his Louis Vuitton Spring 2025 collection at the iconic Cour Carrèe du Louvre. Guests (including everyone from Zendaya to Ana de Armas) were ushered inside a giant reflective tent, and greeted by a vast trunk-inspired runway, honoring the rich heritage of Vuitton. Ghesquière’s lineup was ultimately inspired by the idea of contrast. Outfits featured patterns by artist Laurent Grasso while a soundtrack taken from Jamie XX’s new album blasted through the speakers.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“His tweed is superior to Chanel. The collection to me is very much inspired by Karl: this necklaces, bag in the shape of fan, tweed, color combination. Very Spring 2011 Chanel.” [Olaffo]

“So it wasn’t just me seeing Chanel all over it. I absolutely love it! Give him Chanel! I don’t care, wertheimers, you’re filthy rich. Take this man off of LVMH. The runway was everything too.” [Alquimista]

“Such a chic collection – bravo to Nicolas. And I think he knew it this time, that’s why the runway presentation was focused on the models and not the audience.” [Overindulgence]

I’m still processing it but I have the feeling that I SAW FASHION. I don’t know if it’s good or bad, but it’s fashion. Finally someone ambitious showing how it’s done.” [helmutnotdead]

“Beautiful propositions and really beautiful execution.” [j02215]

Today marks the final day of Paris Fashion Week, and filling up this afternoon’s time slot on the schedule was the Miu Miu Spring 2025 collection. The fashion pack descended upon Miuccia Prada’s usual chosen show venue the Palais d’Iéna, with the likes of Addison Rae, Camila Cabello, and Daisy Ridley filling up the front row. The catwalk was just as star-studded, with Mrs. Prada casting Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban (the 16-year-old daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban), Hilary Swank, Alexa Chung, and Willem Dafoe strutting their stuff. The collection examines the brand’s “cultural dialogues with groundbreaking women artists and filmmakers across 13 years,” according to the show notes. Miuccia doubled down on the no-pants look for another season, adding layers, swimsuits with geometric cutouts, leg warmers, and injecting an archival print into the mix.

Miu Miu Spring 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Lotta Volkova’s styling project again. Miuccia is ruining her legacy. What is the theme here? Where is this seasonal signature? At least the cropped top collection and the office lady collection had a concept; this is just a meaningless parade of clothes with stupid styling.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“My biggest fear happened: Miu Miu has become ‘The Lotta Show’.

“I enjoyed it, the bathing suit looks layered in to the skirts intrigued me.” [GERGIN]

“This season was not it for me.” [Ihhbl]

On the last day of Paris Fashion Week, Chanel opened the fashion festivities and returned to the Grand Palais, after its four-year closure due to renovations. The fabled French fashion house remains without a creative director, following the abrupt exit of Virginie Viard in June. Guests (like Charlotte Casiraghi, Margaret Qualley, Jennie and Lupita Nyong’o) were greeted by a huge white cage, decorated with its classic Chanel logo and placed slap bang in the middle of the vast showspace setting. Designed by the Chanel Fashion Creation Studio team, charming 1920s-style collars and classic tweeds honored the brand’s rich heritage, while ostrich feather trim and delicate sheer looks floated past guests towards the end of the show. Pastel colors, elevated platform shoes and bow detailing were also accounted for. For the finale, Riley Keough performed on a swing inside the cage, covering Prince’s When Doves Cry.

Chanel Spring 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“They should have done it in one of their flagships because the set was very poor for this big space.” [GivenchyAddict]

“What’s up with that set, it’s so empty. They should have pulled back this season. To show this weak collection with so little around it, truly emphasizes that this is a mere shadow of what was once a great show in Paris.” [Norden]

“That’s one ugly shoe! Only the black boots are acceptable! The collection is inoffensive. It’s a bit over-detailed, as if they want to justify the insane pricing by adding stuff. It should have been edited to the max! The jersey and denim are terrible. The set is meh.” [Lola701]

“Damn that was a tough collection to watch. think it’s time to let go of this watered-down Karl Lagerfeld vision for the brand and maybe shake things up a tad bit?” [GERGIN]

The Balenciaga Spring 2025 collection just closed out the penultimate day of Paris Fashion Week. Stars like Nicole Kidman, Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry, and Laetitia Casta flocked to the Cour du Dôme des Invalides for Demna’s latest showcase as creative director of the Kering-owned fashion house (founded in 1919 by Cristóbal Balenciaga). With a remix of Gimmie More by Britney Spears on the soundtrack, the Georgian fashion designer presented his tribute to clothes with a “point of view.” Models first emerged from backstage in an array of lingerie-inspired looks and toting the Balenciaga Rodeo handbag, strutting down the dining table-inspired runway. Throughout the collection, Demna experimented with hoodies and denim, transforming jeans into gaiters and showing oversized sweatshirts with slogans that read “Fashion Designer”. Tech-friendly accessories and gowns featuring Demna’s signature bold shoulder were also on full display.

Balenciaga Spring 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Same shtick, different season. The sooner Balenciaga and Demna part ways the better. Absolutely cannot wait to move on from this monstrosity of a direction. This whole streetwear aesthetic for Balenciaga feels beyond tired, dated, and overplayed in 2024.” [vogue28]

“Why do we exist in a world where this vision of Balenciaga is tolerated…especially by luxury consumers?” [GERGIN]

“So pedestrian and basic. Remember when Balenciaga was synonymous with chic, fashion-forward clothes?” [tourbillions]

“This is why Bernard Arnault will continue to sleep sound in regards to competition from Kering. Utter trash.” [VogueDisciple93]

“What the hell is this? From the house to the street hooker. Streetwear destroys everything. I think Cristóbal would want to kill this man for sure.” [bennyboy]

“Why are people showing their collections in mausoleums? Not that I care, I’m only here for the laughs.” [Alquimista]

“I can’t make sense of it all. It’s so random and empty.” [PDFSD]

“I don’t understand him. Is he angry that he has to design clothes? What’s his problem?” [Machinegumm]
