Katie Grand and Bryan Grey Yambao at Perfect Magazine sure do know how to generate some buzz. The twosome kick-started 2024 by bringing Bella Hadid out of retirement. Supermodels Linda Evagelista, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss were ushered in as cover stars for Issue 6. Issue 6.5 went to Rihanna (as you’ve never seen her before). Issue 7 saw the Barbadian songstress swiftly welcomed back as cover star. The next global sensation to take to the cover of Perfect Magazine (this time for Issue 8) is Selena Gomez. The American singer, actress, and beauty mogul poses for photographer Morgan Maher on location in New York. Katie Grand styled Gomez over six collectible covers. Grand selected looks from DKNY, Saint Laurent, Simone Rocha, Valentino, Christopher Kane for Self-Portrait, and Self-Portrait for the occasion.

“Selena Gomez is always a NO for me,” stated DK92 upon digesting the covers.

“Always for me too,” replied vogue28. “On the magazine cover front, Selena via the lens of Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for American Vogue [April 2017] remains the one to beat. I like the first cover shot. Perhaps I could have done without the juvenile circular art direction.”

Two down, two to go and that’s a wrap on London Fashion Week. Running from September 12-17, this LFW Spring 2025 season was a complete amalgamation of new and established talent. To conclude the 40th anniversary of London Fashion Week, The British Fashion Council granted us a jam-packed schedule to round out the festivities.

Report: London Fashion Week Spring 2025

This London Fashion Week was a special one for Harris Reed who was on the official schedule for the very first time. The young talent (and current creative director of Nina Ricci) presented in the Tanks of the Tate Modern and sent OTT dramatic silhouettes down the catwalk and emphasized on upcycling materials. With the 2024 Queen Elizabeth II Award to his name, S.S. Daley debuted his first womenswear collection – complete with Harry Styles sitting perched front tow. Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons of Chopova Lowena returned to the LFW schedule this season, with a collection inspired by American heroines (like Calamity Jane).

After three seasons showing with Fashion East, Standing Ground spearheaded by Michael Stewart flew solo at London Fashion Week. The young Irish designer’s show boasted diaphanous drapes, molded leather coats and Stewart’s signature beaded column dresses. Always a LFW highlight, it was all in the details at Richard Quinn. Each of the 45 looks embodied Quinn’s vision of elegance via masterful shape, volume, and fabrication. Following a two-season hiatus, Nensi Dojaka returned to the London Fashion Week schedule with her signature cut-out dresses – and a Calvin Klein collaboration.

Slick suiting contrasted with floating feathered dresses and exaggerated bows at Roksanda. JW Anderson credited the girliness of his sister as inspiration for his spring collection. An array of variations of the mini dress was sent down the catwalk, staged within London’s Old Billingsgate market. The celebrated designer’s collection was filled with sculptural silhouettes, interwoven panels of fabric and exaggerated ballet skirts. Daniel Lee at Burberry rounded out the London Fashion Week festivities this season, opting to remix the brand’s heritage for the season ahead.

Here’s the Hits & Misses of London Fashion Week Spring 2025:

MISS | JW Anderson

“Loewe leftovers.” [rowjellies]

“Well he was clearly busy with other projects (such as costumes for “Queer”) than his own label, so we have a parade of mediocre, low-quality trash that he presented because he literally had to.” [Olaffo]

“God knows I enjoy his menswear at both JWA and Loewe, but I will NEVER like his womenswear. Ever. It always feels like a forced exercise for him, with close to no point of view for each collection. Scrolling through those looks I can’t help but wonder who is she meant to be. The answer is no one, because there is nobody here. It’s a bunch of fabric placed on models treated as mannequins.” [Thefrenchy]

HIT | Roksanda

“This is quite wonderful. A little too indulgent in place but I love the fantastical quality that she’s so good at doing.” [GoldenPetals]

“Loved the last few looks — the blue, pink, and orange gowns.” [rowjellies]

“A standout from London Fashion Week, without a shadow of a doubt. A strong collection, from start to finish. I just knew from the opening and second look that I would’ve be disappointed… and I wasn’t.” [vogue28]

MISS | Harris Reed

“Lots of showmanship but no real workmanship.” [Constructionist]

“It’s truly embarrassing. The delusion this person has is insane. The show is so cringe. The models aimlessly and cluelessly flapping their arms around like CoUTuRe. Calling this amateur would be putting it lightly.” [lookatme]

“They could have at least lit and retouched the photos in a way that would hide poor tailoring and sloppy finish of garments.” [avonlea002]

HIT | S.S. Daley

“I like it!” [helmutnotdead]

“I am not disliking it. Plenty of influences but he managed to remain cohesive and to offer a wardrobe with many options.” [yslforever]

“S.S. Daley is a really promising designer. Perhaps an editor or stylist of old ideas as opposed to designer but still pleasant to look at and I even own his knitwear! I’ll take his show over JW Anderson any day.” [Olaffo]

MISS | Burberry

Here's the Hits & Misses of London Fashion Week Spring 2025:
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Daniel Lee is so checked out at this point. I give him another year or less.” [rowjellies]

“Last week the brand’s stocks were down over 70% vs. a year a go. Mostly over concerns that they cannot right the ship and this collection did absolutely nothing to comfort those fears. There was one good jacket. No great bag(s), no decent shoes, not even a good pair of sunglasses.” [VogueDisciple93]

“Failed again unfortunately. There is no voice. Nobody knows what Burberry wants to be. Sales (according to that BOF article) are down about 22% this year. That set looked like a St Martins graduation show and the feathers on the jackets followed by sequins and graphic scarves looked like a total mess.” [signifier]

HIT | Standing Ground

“First relevant show of the season.” [helmutnotdead]

“I was greatly impressed! I will definitely be following this brand/designer now. Such modernity and chicness to evening dressing.” [VogueDisciple93]

“When a young designer from LFW does a more relevant Alaïa collection than Mullier. I love the textures he managed to create, they are so interesting. Everything is so sensual and effortless. For sure one name to watch!” [IloveDiorHomme]

MISS | Nensi Dojaka

“Everything looks unfinished… something is missing in every look.” [tourbillions]

“Nensi Dojaka used to do this boudoir kinda fashion so well 3 years back. I guess the blandification of fashion got to her.” [philophile]

“I really don’t understand her success. Everything Nensi Dojaka makes looks like there isn’t enough to it. So lacking and wane.” [Cocteau Stone]

HIT | Aaron Esh

“Quite good. Stylish even, and that’s a word I would never use to describe London fashion. It doesn’t feel like fashion student fashion.” [Alquimista]

“Very cohesive.” [tourbillions]

“I like what he’s doing, mainly because he and Michael Stewart’s Standing Ground are one of the rare younger designers who are designing something different. It’s chic, sexy, desirable and with a bit more technical finesse to his tailoring, I could see him going very far.” [LadyJunon]

HIT | Sharon Wauchob

Here's the Hits & Misses of London Fashion Week Spring 2025:

“So freaking pretty and delicate! That’s how I like it.” [philophile]

“Sharon Wauchob is the LFW QUEEN and I love that she keeps herself low profile. Everything about her designs is so special and intimate! I’m in awe of those white tops, the white trousers, the first black dress, the trench coat. The white jacket! I want it all!” [WAVES]

“Beautiful and feminine clothing, as per usual.” [Not Plain Jane]

MISS | Bora Aksu

“Too twee; too granny. Needs some edge to make it more interesting.” [Not Plain Jane]

MISS | Natasha Zinko

“The collection itself is very high street trendy, which means that is already behind the trends, and quite incoherent when taken as a whole.” [YohjiAddict]

MISS | Chopova Lowena

“What exactly is this supposed to be?” [Constructionist]

“When you want to make your very own Gaultier/Westwood creation for the Friday night outing to the club and you have only old tablecloths to concoct it from…” [YohjiAddict]

MISS | Simone Rocha

“So sloppy.” [lookatme]

“She’s been telling the same story for far too long.” [TianCouture]

“I see a lot of Molly Goddard leftover vibes this time, especially the knits and the menswear looks. The last 3 looks… Shepherd Bush fabric yard sale?” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

MISS | Knwls

“They had a semi-moment riding off that Y2K trend, but this look is very dated now.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“Who is this for? Club kids in Berlin?” [rowjellies]

“A British version of LaQuan Smith, trying to do early 00s Dior by Galliano. And with some Philip Treacy-inspired hats for no reason at all.” [jeanclaude]

HIT | Richard Quinn

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Can’t hate on it, as it’s all so well made. This is what Harris Reed thinks he is doing.” [tourbillions]

“You could never make me hate Richard Quinn. A sight for sore eyes during London Fashion Week. He’s in a league of his own on the LFW circuit. Absolutely love the sight of some Pierpaolo Piccioli x Valentino glamour, following an endless array of student-esque and grungy collections.” [vogue28]

MISS | Erdem

Here's the Hits & Misses of London Fashion Week Spring 2025:

“I can’t understand how or why this brand exists.” [lookatme]

“Erdem could have delivered a more exciting result had he played on the masculine/feminine and the ‘coming-undone’ tension a bit more. When he’s in a good form, I can see a bit of Dries’ charm in him and at his worst, he churns out looks that could be right out of Maria Grazia’s sketchbook.” [tricotineacetat]

“Huge mess.” [velvetandsilk]

The Spring 2025 season of London Fashion Week is upon us, and in honor of the fashion festivities that lay ahead, we’re flashing it back to London Fashion Week Spring 2015.

At Burberry, Christopher Kane explored the joys of the countryside during the springtime and bestowed upon us a collection oozing an explosion of color and pattern. British biologist and explorer Marianne North proved to be a key reference for LFW heavyweight Erdem Moralıoğlu, presenting a collection inside a dark showspace to allow the busy botanical prints to bloom before the eyes of his LFW guests. Floppy sunhats crafted from black leather added to the sense of drama at JW Anderson’s show, with Irish designer offering a whole new take on nautical. Tom Ford was on the London Fashion Week Spring 2015 schedule. Models rock Joan Jett-esquire hairstyles, smokey eyes and stormed the runway unveiling Mrs. Ford’s high-octane collection, paying homage to glam rock.

Vogue Czechoslovakia September 2024 : Gwendoline Christie by Szilvester Mako

You might find it hard to believe that Gwendoline Christie had never graced the cover of Vogue before. Despite being a total fashion darling, no other Vogue editor from across the globe had chased after Christie to become their cover star – until now. Danica Kovarova ushers in the British actress as Vogue Czechoslovakia’s cover star for the magazine’s all-important September 2024 edition. Across a duo of dynamic and fashion-forward covers, Christie (who shut it DOWN closing out John Galliano’s masterful and internet-breaking Maison Margiela Artisanal showcase back in January) dials up the theatrics once again via the lens of Szilvester Mako. A dress from Simone Rocha and heels from Maison Margiela were selected by stylist Milena Zuravljova for Gwendoline to don in cover one (below). Christie then sports Prada and a pair of Jimmy Choo heels in cover two (after the jump).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“I used to be a fan of Szilvester’s photography at first but with each new shoot I find myself liking it less. He should stop with all the stupid gimmicks and focus on good composition and styling,” voiced avonlea002.

“Horrible. Do even hipsters still care about something like this?” asked Srdjan.

Matheus_s wasn’t best impressed either. “Vogue Czechoslovakia used to be so upfront, unusual, edge… now it’s just regular,” they shared.

Blueorchid shared the same sentiments toward the magazine, adding: “The editions of Vogue that try to be art mags sincerely bother me more than any of the half-baked garbage we see in British Vogue!”

“Stop trying to make this woman happen. Gwendoline Christie is not a style icon,” declared Alquimista.

“Never been one to ride the Gwendoline Christie train. Genuinely couldn’t care less about her being on the cover of Vogue. Vogue Czechoslovakia is genuinely more miss than hit nowadays, so I am not at all surprised to find myself being majorly underwhelmed by this,” vogue28 chimed in.

You could say Christine Centenera has her finger on the pulse when it comes to enlisting Vogue Australia’s buzz-worthy cover stars. Subsequent to landing the top job at the Aussie fashion bible, Centenera has secured everyone from Kylie Minogue and Hailey Bieber to Victoria Beckham and Zendaya. Up next is Charli XCX, who has enjoyed a “brat summer” over recent months following the viral success of her sixth studio album: Brat. Centenera insisted upon the British singer-songwriter posing for photographer Amy Troost, for her second Vogue cover of 2024 as she become Australian Vogue‘s September cover star. Across a trio of dynamic covers, stylist Katelyn Gray dressed the 360 songstress in new season pieces from Rabanne, Burberry and Simone Rocha.

“My icon,” instantly declared Kimy Jo upon checking out the three covers.

“Oh, this is a must-buy,” enthused forum member crmsn.

“Charli XCX should’ve gotten British Vogue but we got Kylie Jenner instead,” voiced NicholasII.

Not everyone, however, was so sold out the end result. “Charli XCX is normally very photogenic but they made her look shorter here. The styling and photography is so 2010s,” Urban Stylin critiqued.

“What is this atrocity? It looks so trashy, I can not. The €2 dress and the s**tty pose. This is Vogue?” a disgruntled Bertrando3 asked.

“Not really feeling this, and don’t get me started with that ‘brat’ headline,” WAVES chimed in.

Two cities down, two to go. That’s a wrap on London Fashion Week for the Fall 2024 season. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, The British Fashion Council made certain the jam-packed celebratory 5-day event had zero shortage of show-stopping spectacles.

The fashion packed looked to Harris Reed to get the party started at Tate Britain, unveiling a dramatic collection inspired by the paper dolls he would fashion as a child. Royal College of Art graduate Sinéad O’Dwyer led the charge for body diversity and inclusivity on the runway while Edward Crutchley celebrated the 10th anniversary of his brand with a collection boasting elements from the 3rd century through to the 1970s. Bold tulle, contrasting vivid colors, ruffled fabrications and cowboy-inspired looks were on full display at Molly Goddard – all inspired by Goddard’s very own eBay watchlist.

For Fall 2024, Erdem took Maria Callas as his muse, honing in on the prolific Greek soprano’s performance in Medea. Moralıoğlu’s collection ultimately reached its crescendo with a lineup of feather appliquéd coats and dresses. In an atmospheric art space, David Koma proved he’s at the top of his game designing in black and white. Richard Quinn presented a procession of delicate and intricate evening fabrications, polishing off his collection with an assortment of fairytale wedding dresses. Subsequent to the hype of being Jean Paul Gaultier’s guest-designer, Simone Rocha staged her fall showcase inside St Bartholomew’s, London’s oldest surviving church, and drew upon the mourning of Queen Victoria for a collection full of Rocha’s signature corsetry and intricate bow detailing.

At JW Anderson, the celebrated designer paraded a collection inspired by the British sitcom: The Last of the Summer Wine. Dilara Findikoglu entitled her collection “Femme Vortex” and enlisted the expertise of movement director Pat Boguslawski (à la Maison Margiela) for models to help propel her designs to new heights. It was Daniel Lee at Burberry who rounded out the LFW festivities, complete with an army of British models roaming a tent on location within London’s Victoria Park, decked out in the designer’s statement outwear and looks revolving around a distinct shade of moss green.

Needless to say, London Fashion Week has been a one to remember. Scroll further for ALL the hits and misses of the season, according to theFashionSpot’s very own army of fashion critics:

MISS | Dilara Findikoglu

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Basically, this show is McQueen, Westwood and Galliano’s Margiela ordered on Temu. It’s such a mystery that this brand is still operating somehow, but I don’t really think it’s gonna survive next five years.” [perhydrol]

“That’s just plain ugly. You can see her entire ‘thought process’ and reference board throughout. Very cheap-looking and sloppily done.” [AnaD]

“I actually don’t mind that she copies. The problem is that it’s all over the place. How about copy one element and build around it?” [Scotty]

MISS | Molly Goddard

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Its always the same old frilly boring we’ve-seen-it-before type dresses. Does anyone buy this? How does this label manage to exist?” [90sFan]

“A lot of struggle separates. That 80s duo chrome fabric is bad. I want more of the cowgirl from Molly Goddard, just the two looks here are not enough.” [Nimsay]

“MUCH preferred experimental elements in the spring collection, and hoped she’d build on those, where she played with petticoats, corsets, and trench coats.” [Not Plain Jane]

HIT | Eudon Choi

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Beautiful, layered, textural clothing with a palpable sensuality.” [Not Plain Jane]

“Rather gorgeous things in here. Something so beautifully bourgeois yet incredibly romantic about this. There’s enough disruption to the classicism to pull this away from looking stale and the styling is layered incredibly well.” [Cocteau Stone]

“He has consistently delivered these past few seasons. Beautiful collection, with so many covetable pieces.” [AnaD]

MISS | Richard Quinn

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Totally irrelevant.” [liberty33r1b]

“Bridal section from a random department store showing at LFW.” [jeanclaude]

“Beyond bored of Quinn. There’s no real energy to this and stagnates the moment it is presented. So much of this fits so poorly too.” [Cocteau Stone]

MISS | Emilia Wickstead

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“I’ve enjoyed Wickstead’s collections a lot but not sure how I feel about this one. There are great pieces but it also feels a little disconnected… maybe she’s still experimenting as it feels like an extension of her previous collection that was also similar.” [WAVES]

“I love Emilia, but this has massive Prada vibes. In fact, so big that I am struggling to call this being inspired too much. Lacks her own, a bit too referential.” [dontbeadrag]

“Why is she departing so much from what made her successful? Doesn’t make any sense.” [liberty33r1b]

HIT | JW Anderson

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Chic and imaginative, feels like his early work. Enjoyed all of it, but especially the boob tassel dresses and ensembles that looked like mega-sized knits. Also the dark short trench jacket with the long sleeves was great.” [dontbeadrag]

“How fun and cozy this all feels. Very enjoyable collection. That leather bomber is fabulous, as are the bags and all the knitwear.” [Not Plain Jane]

“What can I say… I’m obsessed.” [prylvi]

MISS | Bora Aksu

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“What in the Little House on the Prairie is this bullsh*t?” [gallianostan]

“Sick of this approach, and is very half arsed too because there’s a lot of others that do this better (even if I can’t stand it).” [Cocteau Stone]

“The pastel half of the show is total saccharine and becomes unbearable, it needs a bit of darkness which is what you sense in the work of Rocha or CDG’s Tao.” [YohjiAddict]

MISS | Sinéad O’Dwyer

“Horrid.” [Not Plain Jane]

“Not far off from what Mark Fast is already doing, so really what is she doing here? Intention behind the casting is great, but it’s just awkward designs that seemingly have a wallflower tweeness that doesn’t actually show off any confidence or anything.” [Cocteau Stone]

“Not another bring your own garment show and ticking all body types.” [tourbillions]

HIT | Erdem

“There are some pretty dresses and elegant skirt suits in this collection.” [Not Plain Jane]

“I have a soft spot for him, even his fluffy things aren’t heavy looking. I’d like to see him at Valentino.” [yslforver]

“There are some beautiful things in here. Fantastic co-ords, great outerwear and the more simple dresses are done well.” [Cocteau Stone]

MISS | Mark Fast

“Terrible show. Odd casting, terrible, messy styling and just overall needs a really tight edit.” [reese06]

“His surname is very appropriate… Mark made the collection so Fast, that he forgot to actually design it!” [jeanclaude]

“Just a waste of fabric and clothes with absolutely nothing to say. What is the purpose of this? Why does this need a show?” [gallianostan]

HIT | Simone Rocha

“Oh wow! I think this is really good. More pared down, with some throwbacks to the 1950s (a bit of little Edie) but also with a more futurist feeling too.” [Not Plain Jane]

“Apparently Gaultier has spiced things up because this offering is much better than the usual. Great collection!” [thiago]

“John Galliano, but Bernard Arnault is the creative director, his children are the studio team and their housemaid that was illegally imported from rural Georgia is the stylist.” [LadyJunon]

“Sweet baby Jesus. A bunch of Galliano-esque redeuxs with only a sliver of the passion.” [Nimsay]

“Probably my least favorite ‘designer’ of all time.” [lookatme]

HIT | Burberry

“One of my fav collections this season. Loved the colors, the pops of red, coats and skirts. Oh and the boots! Casting was amazing (Agyness, Karen, Lily D and Lily C!). Loved the music too.” [Alejandra Isami]

“First time his collection’s an immediate hit for me. Daniel Lee got rid of the juvenile prints and made luxurious fashion.” [tourbillions]

“A vast improvement to his previous collections, this is actually pretty solid. It’s not setting me on fire, but it’s a decent collection. Fabulous cast!” [AnaD]

“Central Saint Martins side effects…” [jeanclaude]

“Straight trash. Some good ideas but mainly straight to the bin.” [Nimsay]

“Collections like this make it really hard to ever get excited or even interested for LFW. Should have made like the others last season and opted out of presenting due to financial hardship.” [Cocteau Stone]

The Fall 2024 season is a-go. In honor of London Fashion Week which runs February 16-20, we’re taking a trip down memory lane and flashing it back to LFW’s Fall 2014 season.

Just like in New York, the landscape across the pond was extremely different also. Perhaps the most surprising was that Tom Ford was part of the British fashion festivities, which marked a year since the designer selected London as the capital in which to showcase his wares. Ford’s collection for Fall 2014 boasted iconic styles from the American West and the pert proportions of the Swinging Sixties. Henry Holland’s buzzy namesake label House of Holland was still alive and kicking, in addition to the once-thriving businesses of Julian Macdonald, Matthew Williams and Giles Deacon. LFW staple Emilia Wickstead went all goth-metal today with a decidedly masculine edge while Simone Rocha added tartan to her deft and modern ways with heritage fabrics. Christopher Kane was still at the helm of Burberry, who presented a vibrant and breezy collection with hand-painted flower motifs, floaty fabrics and blanket shawls.

There’s now an ever-revolving door at Jean Paul Gaultier HQ, and we kinda live for it during Paris Fashion Week’s haute couture season. Following a whole plethora of jaw-dropping collections by Chitose Abe, Glenn Martens, Olivier Rousteing, Haider Ackermann and Julien Dossena, Simone Rocha was announced earlier this week as the latest designer tasked with creating a couture collection for Jean Paul Gaultier.
Following the legendary designer’s last bow as creative director of his namesake fashion house back in 2020, Gaultier has since adopted the method of welcoming a designer of his choice as the creative force behind his haute couture collections. Gaultier has handpicked Simone Rocha for the upcoming Spring 2024 haute couture offering, which is set to be unveiling during Paris Fashion Week in January 2024.

Members of theFashionSpot forums were quick to respond to the news. “You know what, good for her! This could be a great opportunity for her to get out of her comfort zone a bit but to also expand her design vocabulary a little further. Hopefully it doesn’t end up being a surplus of layered organza smocks in sailor-stripes and the like,” commented Cocteau Stone.
“Such exciting news, I can’t wait. Gaultier has never failed me when it come to his choice of designers. This could be a great opportunity for Gaultier because Simone can explore more softer/romantic side of him that sometimes can be quite underrated,” chimed in THD96.
“It’s nice to have another woman for a change,” noted LadyJunon.
Nimsay approved, voicing: “Probably will be ravishing. I’d love to see Rocha’s variant of the JPG corset. Gaultier is cementing his legacy as a grand master, and the way he is developing the younger generation is unparalleled.”
“Good surprise and I’m very excited to see this,” raved Lola701.

Two fashion capitals down. Two to go, as we bid a fond farewell to London Fashion Week.
Last week, to unofficially rev up the fashion festivities within the British capital with a bang, the world of Vogue descended on the Theatre Royal Drury Lane to bestow upon us Vogue World: London which featured dazzling appearances from ballerinas to the 90s supermodels. During this season’s jam-packed LFW schedule, we’ve encountered a mixture of established and emerging talent. Roksanda transported us back to her roots for a collection inspired by Byzantine monasteries from her native Serbia while JW Anderson gave us classic wardrobe staples elevated to new heights, with pieces either inflated, molded in clay or sprouting feathers. A firm staple of LFW, Richard Quinn’s love for the avant-garde was on full display, with guests ushered into a flower-filled ballroom where models walked the space draped in ethereal cocktail dresses and glittering evening gowns – all evoking a haute couture spirit. Romance was on the agenda at Simone Rocha while Erdem’s collection combined tulle skirts, lace slips and floral quilts oh so wonderfully recycled from Chatsworth House. Molly Goddard proved once again she’s the reigning queen of girly gowns and for his sophomore collection as Burberry’s creative director, Daniel Lee paid homage to the brand’s iconic trench coat – with a twist.
So, are you ready to uncover the hits and misses LFW had to offer? Scroll down for a completely unbiased take on London Fashion Week Spring 2024, all through the eyes of our unfiltered forum members.

MISS | Molly Goddard

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Molly Goddard is becoming so tired now. I need something fresh from her now.” [LadyJunon]
“The dresses with one side gathered, just look like they got stuck in the sewing machine. The amount of creases and wrinkled seams elsewhere makes my skin crawl…” [YohjiAddict]
“It looks sloppy and badly made. No amount of layering can hide the real lack of technical skills.” [Lola701]

HIT | Simone Rocha

“Off all the London shows this one stood out the most, very romantic and gothic.” [disco54]
“Her clothes are soo romantic. I like the whole thing but especially the men’s clothes.” [Bugsy]
“I think it’s beautiful. Her pleating and gathering techniques make it a properly interesting take on bridal without being silly.” [GoldenPetals]

HIT | Erdem

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I’m in love!” [cul8tr]
“I love this, am a fan of grandma chic! Love the pop of color!” [Urban Stylin]
“I sometimes wonder how Erdem would do with haute couture, and I guess it’s a good thing. His choice of textiles is always wonderful and even if the looks seem to be a bit outdated, they’re extremely fascinating and charming. I can see why the collection may be perceived as referential, but I still believe Moralioglu has created a distinct universe for his brand.” [perhydrol]

HIT | Sharon Wauchob

“Amazing. Everything looks so good and delicate.” [thiago]
“Like a whisper of fresh air. Every piece has their place in the collection.” [Cocteau Stone]
“Sharon truly is that single woman standing of individual refinement, discipline and eccentric ingenuity.” [Phuel]

HIT | JW Anderson

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I am in awe with the lozenge-pleated trousers. So clever and yet so easy and elegant.” [yslforever]
“The exploded bomber jackets are pretty interesting, and so are the pant variations. They’d feel pretty warm and snug as an outfit combo. The quality of everything is really nice too.” [Cocteau Stone]
“I like how he finally found the perfect balance between weird experiments and commerce for his brand. There are a lot of separate pieces that’ll be very eye-catching in the store. And I like that he covered every category from day wear to evening wear with those gorgeous dresses.” [THD96]

HIT | 16Arlington

IMAGE: VOGUE.COM

“I’m into it, and feels far more refined and elevated, in stark comparison to what else we’ve seen during London Fashion Week, thus far. The grey outfits are gorgeous, and I’m really into the grey teamed with the red and vice versa.” [vogue28]
“This isn’t over styled so the simplicity is a breath of fresh air. The grey and the red is a rather vicious combo with those shades, and I’m rather fond of the grey sequins too. Some inklings of Christopher Kane in here with the Prada-isms.” [Cocteau Stone]
“The choice of colors and the sequins are great.” [WAVES]

HIT | Roksanda

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I think this is a solid offering from Roksanda and I do enjoy the proportions, the use of brocade, the tailored pieces and the excessive use of fabric.” [WAVES]
“I think the opening purple gown is mesmerizing.” [Nimsay]
“This is way above the average London standard, in terms of technique and fabrics.” [bc collector]
See all the looks from the Roksanda Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Mark Fast

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Atrocious.” [Nimsay]
“Very tacky and terribly outdated, it seriously looks like a half-arsed attempt from Primark to rip-off Isabel Marant for spring break ca. 2012. It’s only really missing the flower crowns.” [YohjiAddict]
“This collection is pretty crap.” [Cocteau Stone]
See all the looks from the Mark Fast Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | David Koma

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Finally some sleekness from LFW!” [WAVES]
“Very much into this, and feels like a total breath of fresh air, given the vast majority of insipid collections during London Fashion Week. Not the most groundbreaking, but I can 110% appreciate the fact David Koma’s within a league of his own when it comes to LFW. I’m kinda into the splash of color throughout the collection, and love how cohesive it is.” [vogue28]

HIT | Burberry

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Definitely better than his previous show. I really liked the shoes. The jacket on Mona was beautiful, a highlight of the collection.” [avonlea002]
“An overall improvement over his overstuffed debut collection.” [Ruito]
“I never thought I’d say this, but I loved it! Especially dresses, shoes and jackets. A much better and more ‘British’ collection than Riccardo Tisci’s. At Burberry, Lee has found himself, at Bottega Veneta he was lost.” [HelgaZ]
See all the looks from the Burberry Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | Emilia Wickstead

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Everything looks precise and beautifully made.” [WAVES]
“This is one of the few brands I’m fine with being Dior rip-offs meets ladies who lunch. The girl is good at tailoring.” [SophiaVB]
“Emilia Wickstead is always one of the strong offerings during London Fashion Week, and this collection appears to be no exception. Always look forward to a Wickstead collection during LFW, especially after umpteen graduation-esque collections. Not a fan of the stripes but those floral fabrics are gorgeous!” [vogue28]

MISS | Chopova Lowena

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Very dumpy and juvenile.” [Cocteau Stone]
“It’s how imagine a Vivienne Westwood diffusion line for plus-sized teenagers would look like. The perfect example of a show that’s styled but not really designed.” [YohjiAddict]
“A tragedy. Most of these looks are costume not fashion. The best look is a tie print pleated skirt with leather jacket. Westwood Junior is very much the energy.” [Nimsay]

HIT | Richard Quinn

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Almost looks like couture!” [liberty33r1b]
“An absolute highlight of London Fashion Week, as Richard Quinn has become for me. This collection is just so sophisticated, ladylike, regal and oozes a strong sense of old-school haute couture that I cannot help but to be drawn like a moth to a flame. I am also extremely appreciative of the fact Quinn brings a bit of drama an elegance to LFW! Massive fan.” [vogue28]

MISS | Matty Bovan

IMAGE: VOGUE.COM

“Everything I despise about London Fashion Week, within one collection.” [vogue28]
“If diarrhea was a fashion a collection it would look like this.” [avonlea002]
“This is just stupid. And extremely flammable.” [Cocteau Stone]
