Stella McCartney sure likes to generate a few headlines with the unveiling of every advertising campaign. McCartney had Kendall Jenner essentially become a horse whisperer with the Fall 2024 campaign installment and insisted on Cara Delevingne pose amongst the recycled waste of a Veolia recycling plant last season. The English fashion designer, who launched her eponymous fashion label in 2001, goes in an entirely different direction with the unveiling of the Fall 2024 advertising campaign – switching out the casting, the photographer and the concept. McCartney ushers in actress Eva Mendes and singer Raye, who pose before the lens of Ethan James Green for a series of images that aims to highlight the brand’s planet advocacy and cruelty-free practice in fashion.

The editor who has served as the magazine’s figurehead since 1988 has brought back the likes of Jill Biden, Kendall Jenner, Zendaya and Blake Lively as Vogue cover stars over recent months,. Now, Wintour reinstates Lady Gaga as the American fashion bible’s cover star for October 2024. Precisely six years after her last, the American singer-songwriter and actress (who showed up to the 2024 Venice Film Festival in a voluminous Christian Dior gown and Philip Treacy headpiece) poses for Ethan James Green. Across a pair of dynamic covers, the Joker: Folie à Deux actress is styled by Alex Jordan Harrington. In cover one (below), Gaga wears a Balenciaga coat from the Fall 2024 Haute Couture collection. In the second, full-length alternative cover, Gaga strikes a pose in a look from Maison Margiela Artisanal designed by John Galliano.

At the very least, Vogue Germany’s head of editorial content Kerstin Weng opts for a different cover photograph, than selected by Italian Vogue‘s Francesca Ragazzi. Covering the mag’s June 2024 edition, the American actress, model and red capret style siren showcases a canary yellow creation from Kim Jones’ Spring 2024 Fendi collection, teamed by stylist Dara Allen with heels from Marc Jacobs.

This month, London-based biannual title Marfa Journal has our undivided attention, as the publication’s editor and founder Alexandra Gordienko welcomes Agyness Deyn back into the fold, fresh from an appearance at Burberry’s Fall 2024 showcase during London Fashion Week. Gordienko, a Central Saint Martin’s graduate who founded Marfa Journal in 2013, commissioned forum favorite Ethan James Green to document the British model, with the Issue 21’s cover shoot complete with styling from Emma Alix Wyman. Deyn strikes a handful of poses within Green’s studio in the dynamic cover shot, prancing about in an all-black look from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Spring 2024 Louis Vuitton collection.

Since taking up the mantle as editor, Samira Nasr has made it a tradition to feature models on the magazine’s May issues – and the year 2024 is no different. Nasr’s selections for May 2024 are Anok Yai and Christy Turlington, who pose for photographer Ethan James Green across a pair of flawless covers, both styled by Nazario.
